Support a Fund
We welcome regular or one off donations to the Local Giving Fund or one of our Fundraising Funds.
For regular donations you can set up a bankers order and specify which Fund you would like to benefit. Download the form here.
If you are a UK taxpayer, we can claim back 28% on your donation. Simply download and complete our Gift Aid Form and send in with your donation.
Local Giving Fund Donations to the Local Giving Fund support grant making to a variety of community groups and projects across Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. This is the best way to support the Community Foundation’s grant making.
Fundraising Funds
Some of our Funds are fundraising funds which welcome donations.
The following Funds seek donations:
- Asian Fund - To support voluntary projects working with young people under 18 and older people over 65 in Tyne & Wear and Northumberland.
- Bellingham Fund - For projects in the North Tyne Valley.
- Evening Chronicle Sunshine Fund - Providing equipment for sick and disabled children under 16.
- FARNE Fund - To support research undertaken at the Department of Rheumatology, the Medical School, University of Newcastle that will benefit arthritis and rheumatism sufferers in Newcastle.
- Jackie Haq Fund for Scotswood - For community initiatives in the Scotswood area of Newcastle.
- Local Action on Global Issues Fund - Supporting high quality projects that will have a positive impact on the environment, and will educate people about global environmental issues.
- Northumberland High Sheriff Awards - Awards for organisations and individuals who are helping to prevent crime by engaging young people in positive activities.
- Sammy Johnson Memorial Fund - Supporting creative talent on Tyneside.
- Tiny Lives Fund - To support the Special Care Baby Unit at Newcastle Royal Victoria Infirmary.
- Tyne & Wear High Sheriff Fund - Annual awards to groups fighting crime and working with young people at risk.
- Women’s Fund - To enable women to play a full and active part in the community.
- Young Musician’s Fund incorporating the Alan Hull Award - To develop the musical skills of young people through instrument and tuition costs. The Alan Hull Award awards one bursary each year to an outstanding young composer or singer / songwriter.
